Jim Voelker

Board Chairman, InfoSpace

Jim Voelker became board chairman in February 2009 after serving as InfoSpace’s chairman, president, and CEO since December 2002. He has played an integral role at InfoSpace since being named to the company's board of directors in July 2002.

Voelker has more than 20 years experience managing telecommunications and technology companies. As president and board director of NEXTLINK Communications, Inc., now XO Communications, Voelker was instrumental in developing the company vision and guiding overall operations from inception in 1994 through 1998.

Prior to NEXTLINK, Voelker served as CEO and board director of US Signal, where he directed the merger of various entities into a single unit that became the first full-service competitive local exchange carrier in the United States.

John E. Cunningham, IV

General Partner, Clear Fir Partners, LP

In addition to serving on the InfoSpace board, John E. Cunningham, IV serves on the Board of Directors of AudienceScience, Inc., Citel Technologies, Inc. and Catholic Community Services. He is on the Board of Advisors of Petra Growth Fund.

Cunningham served as chairman and CEO of RealCom Office Communications, a privately held telecommunications company that merged with MFS Communications Company, Inc.

Cunningham holds a bachelor of arts degree from Santa Clara University and a master's degree in business administration from University of Virginia.

Jules Haimovitz

Haimovitz Consulting

Jules Haimovitz is the President of Haimovitz consulting, a media consulting firm. Prior to starting Haimovitz Consulting, Mr. Haimovitz served as vice chairman and Managing Partner of Dick Clark Productions Inc, a producer of programming for television, cable networks and syndicators. Previously he served in various capacities at Metro Goldwyn Mayer Inc., including President of MGM Networks Inc, Executive Consultant to the CEO, and Char of the Library Task Force.

Mr. Haimovitz is a director of blockbuster, Inc, a provider of in-home movie and game entertainment, and of ImClone Systems Incorporated, a biopharmaceutical company.

Mr. Haimovitz holds a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and communications and a Master of Arts degree in mathematics from Brooklyn College. He also serves on the Brooklyn College Foundation Board.

Gen. Richard D. Hearney (Ret.)

Management Consultant

Gen. Richard D. Hearney retired from military service in 1996 as Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps. A highly decorated veteran, he served as Deputy Commander, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force during Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

From January 2000 to April 2002, Gen. Hearney served as president and CEO of Business Executives for National Security (BENS). BENS is a national, nonpartisan organization of business leaders who apply the lessons of their successful businesses to making our country safer and more secure.

Prior to joining BENS, Gen. Hearney joined the Boeing Company in 1996 as regional vice president of Business Development - Western Europe.

Gen. Hearney holds a bachelor of arts degree from Stanford University and a master of arts degree from Pepperdine University. He is also a graduate of the Naval War College.

Elizabeth Huebner

Management Consultant

Elizabeth Huebner was appointed to InfoSpace’s Board of Directors in May 2009. After a successful, 26-year career in the finance sector, Huebner retired in 2006.

Most recently, Huebner served as chief financial officer and senior vice president at Getty Images, Inc., a distributor of digital images and content. Prior to working at Getty for six years, she was the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Primus Knowledge Solutions, Inc., where she successfully helped the company through its initial public offering. Huebner also served as vice president and chief financial officer of Fluke Corporation, vice president and chief financial officer for the Western Region of McCaw Cellular Communications, Inc., and as an audit manager with Arthur Andersen.

Huebner earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Utah.

Braden Kelly

Management Consultant

Kelly, an independent investor and strategic advisor to companies in the technology and healthcare industries, brings more than 17 years of investment strategy and finance experience across multiple industry sectors. He was appointed to InfoSpace’s Board of Directors in September 2009.

Most recently, Kelly was with General Atlantic LLC, a global $13 billion private equity investment firm focused on growth investing, where he served as a partner and managing director. During his tenure, Kelly founded the firm’s Silicon Valley office, served on its investment committee, and was responsible for managing more than $1 billion in investments in the US, Europe and India. Prior to joining General Atlantic, Kelly worked in the investment banking division at Morgan Stanley & Co. as a member of the mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring department.

Mr. Kelly is currently a senior advisor to Health Evolution Partners, a San Francisco-based private equity firm. Additionally, he serves on the board of edo Interactive, Inc., a developer in digital payment and marketing platforms.

Mr. Kelly graduated with highest honors from the University of Notre Dame and received a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Finance and Business Economics.

William J. Lansing

President, CEO and Board Member

William J. Lansing became president, CEO and board member of InfoSpace in February 2009.

Lansing has more than 20 years experience in the technology industry. He was most recently the president and CEO of Value Vision Media, Inc., where he grew the ShopNBC television home shopping network and the ShopNBC.com eCommerce business. Prior to that, Lansing served as CEO of NBC Internet, and president and CEO of Fingerhut Companies, a direct marketing company with catalog and eCommerce businesses.

Prior to Fingerhut, Lansing was vice president of Business Development at General Electric, reporting directly to Jack Welch. Before joining GE, Lansing was the chief operating officer of Prodigy, Inc., an online joint venture of IBM and Sears, where he led a management buyout.

Lansing practiced securities law at Davis Polk & Wardwell, and was a partner at McKinsey & Company.

Lansing earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Wesleyan University and a J.D. degree from Georgetown University.

William J. Ruckelshaus

AudienceScience

William J. Ruckelshaus is currently Chief Financial Officer of AudienceScience, Inc., a venture-backed advertising technology and services company.

Prior to AudienceScience, Mr. Ruckelshaus was Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Development for Expedia, Inc., where he oversaw Expedia's acquisitions and led strategic planning and cross-company business development efforts.

Mr. Ruckelshaus came to Expedia from Credit Suisse First Boston Technology Group, where he was a Director of Mergers & Acquisitions focusing on services, software and Internet verticals.

Lewis M. Taffer

Management Consultant

Mr. Taffer serves as an Operating Advisor at Pegasus Capital Advisors, a private equity fund manager.

Prior to joining AOL, Taffer spent more than two decades at American Express. He headed the American Express Gold Card in the early 1990s, launched the Membership Rewards Program, and developed ShopAmex, an InfoSpace-powered online shopping portal for Amex Cardmembers.

After a start as a legal aid lawyer in Pittsburgh, Taffer served as assistant counsel to the Senate Banking Committee in Washington, D.C., and authored several important federal statutes, including the Electronic Funds Transfer Act.

Taffer received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a juris doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
